EGSID Second Project Meeting in Sofia – Strengthening Inclusion Through Grassroots Sport

From March 26–29, 2025, the EGSID consortium gathered in Sofia, Bulgaria, for an engaging and productive project meeting hosted by the Bulgarian Sports Development Association (BSDA). The event brought together all partners for strategic discussions, collaborative planning, and shared learning focused on advancing inclusion through grassroots sport.

A central part of the meeting was dedicated to Work Package 2 (WP2): Needs Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement. Led by Deportivo, this session explored key findings from stakeholder mapping activities across partner countries and highlighted best practices for inclusive and effective engagement. Through interactive group discussions and a hands-on workshop led by the European University of Tirana (UET), partners exchanged ideas on how to strengthen collaboration with local actors and communities—ensuring long-term sustainability and local ownership of project results.

Beyond WP2, the meeting also included a review of overall project progress, refinement of communication and dissemination strategies, and alignment of next steps for the coming months.

The EGSID consortium extends heartfelt thanks to BSDA for their warm hospitality and for creating an inspiring environment that fostered teamwork, innovation, and shared commitment to inclusion through sport.
