With a focus on football and youth development, PEPA will contribute significantly to the sustainability and follow-up activities (WP7). Their expertise in engaging young people through sport will be crucial in developing long-term strategies for the project’s legacy.

The PEPA football academy is a sports company created with private capital, registered as a business – natural person at the Business Registration Center in Elbasan in September 2017, with the object of activity being the sport of football.

This company has been functioning as a sports association since 2009, registered with the Court of Tirana as a Non-Profit Organization with the aim of preserving, developing and promoting the best values of the sport of football in the wider community of children and young people in the region. Elbasani. The activity of the PEPA Football Academy is based on the Albanian legislation for the establishment and operation of commercial companies and on all official documents of FIFA, UEFA and AFF for the operation of sports clubs and associations.

The PEPA football academy is a sports association organized according to the European experiences of football clubs. Of course, the forms of administration and management of the company are in a continuous process of changes and transformations to be more flexible in the concrete situation of the development of this activity and competition in the market.

PEPA has established a chain team system that includes age groups from 7-19 years old. The teams are regular participants in all football editions organized by the AFF since its foundation and showing a positive performance that is always growing. The teams are trained according to a unique training model and by a professional staff licensed by the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) with training levels EUFA A and UEFA B. PEPA teams have created positive experiences in national and international tournaments organized in several countries in Europe showing a high educational and sports standard. A significant part of the regional representative teams in the three age groups U13, U15 and U17 consists of the athletes of the PEPA Football Academy. At the level of the national teams, there are currently 3 footballers who are members of the U15 and U17 national teams.
